You Matter: A Journey of Resilience and Purpose

Hello and welcome! My name is Deandre, and I’m here to share a story about resilience, growth, and the belief that every life holds immense value.

A few years ago, I was in one of the darkest chapters of my life. Battling severe depression and PTSD, I came face-to-face with the brink of despair. It felt like the weight of the world was too much to bear. But through seeking help, leaning into community, and embracing the journey of healing, I found a spark of hope that grew into a flame. Today, I am living proof that it can improve—and it’s a message I carry with me in everything I do.

Professionally, I’ve dedicated my career to making a difference in healthcare and beyond. My background includes service in the U.S. Army, a Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management, and pursuing advanced degrees in Health Law and Health Behavior & Equity. Through my experiences, I’ve seen the cracks in our systems and the profound effects they have on individuals and communities. This fueled my passion for addressing systemic barriers, advocating for provider wellness, and creating equitable health solutions that ensure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Beyond the degrees, titles, and achievements, I believe deeply in the power of self-worth, compassion, and forgiveness. I’ve learned that healing is not linear—it’s a mosaic of small victories, setbacks, and lessons. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to recognize their worth and potential, no matter where they are in life’s journey.
